OF "DAYS OF DISQUIET, NIGHTS OF RAGE"

Referencing the ground-breaking book of essays of poet/journalist/screenwriter, Jose F. Lacaba, consisting of reportage of the First Quarter Storm, "Days of Disquiet, Nights of Rage", FACINE 29 presents two full-length films and one short film about people who lived during the Marcos family's regime of cruelty and abuse and its legacy.
Kip Oebanda's biographical film, LIWAY, retells the life story of the young Dakip, born in a Marcos detention camp to parent-revolutionaries, during the closing years of the dictatorship. The film stars Glaiza de Castro, Kenken Nuyad, Dominic Roco.
Alberto Monteras II's rap-inflected youth drama, RESPETO, has an aspiring young rap singer befriend an old poet, haunted by the horrors of martial law past. The film stars Abra, Kate Alejandrino, Chai Fonacier, Dido de la Paz.
Ida Anita del Mundo's short film, NEVER FORGET, sets its story in New York where an elder man grapples with his own personal history of his involvement with Escalante massacre. The film stars Mara Lopez. Miguel Braganza II. Chris Paul Morales
FACINE 29 runs November 4-6 on FACINE Filmbot site, for the full-length films. The short film will stream on FACINE youtube channel.
